Our last day in Jaisalmer. Before breakfast today our guide instructed us in our first ever yoga class. It was a wonderful way to start our day. After breakfast we went for a swim.
Today we have free to explore Jaisalmer till late afternoon. Four of us decided to head out and do a it more exploring thru the alleyways of Jaisalmer before the heat of the day. Jaisalmer is lovely to wander through as the merchants do not hassle you much. We then spent the afternoon in the hotel pool till our group was ready to head out on our camel safari.
We arrived at our tented accommodation about 5 pm. Our camp is located 75 kilometres from the Pakistan border. We had an hour to relax before heading out on our sunset safari. The safari was so much fun. It was our first time on a camel and it was a wonderful experience. We each got our own camel to ride. The whole atmosphere of being on a camel out in the desert at sunset was fabulous. Part way through our ride we stopped and enjoyed a beer and took more photos of the camels etc. it was definitely a highlight on our trip.
At dinner we were entertained by some wonderful Rajastan music and dancers. It was a great way to end our our enjoyable day.
