We arrived in Cairns on Tuesday June 2, 2010. We picked up our rental car and headed for Clifton Beach where we have rented a condo for nine nights. Our accommodation is a lovely two story condo with three bedrooms an ocean view and a lovely patio area. Since arriving we have made good use of the beautiful pool and bbq area. Our first day here we saw a kookaburra sitting on a neighbour's fence. We have yet to hear one laugh! That evening we went for a drive and found a field full of wallabies. We have still yet to see a kangaroo! The next day we explored a bit of the area where we are living and enjoyed a lovely sunset walk along the beach in front of our home.
