Travel and first day in Paree

Our first blog, slightly overcast and cool, not cold for our first day. Clean and comfortable hotel 75m from Metro Pyramides and five min walk to the Louvre.

I've decided not to write much, but to include explanatory captions with the photos.

Downstairs in First Class, not one passenger there.

Rue de la Hutchette
Bars, bistros and cafés at 11pm on a Sunday night.
Small street joining Blvd St Michel and Rue St Jacques

Blvd St Germain
Cheap (€7.60 for two) and good savoury crepes, close to the Sorbonne.

Rue de Richelieu
Expensive (but also good) street eating and drinking. €68 for four drinks and two light meals.

Musee d'Orsay
Converted railway station (in 1986), fabulous art.
