The Saturday before was a very pleasant sunny day so Kelli thought "Lets go on a Discover China Sunday"
Sounded perfect.
It was all planned to meet at the gate at 11.
We woke that morning to be confronted with a Typical Nanjing Day.
Overcast and gloomy. The sky is light Grey and it almost seems like a mist or a fog.

Oh well... When in Nanjing.....

The tour was on.There where 7 adults and 7 children.
We decided to travel like real Nanjing People.
So..... we caught the Metro. The ticket cost 4RMB.
That's about 60cents per person to travel about 17 stops.
Being a Sunday the Metro is usually very crowded. Today was no different.
We had to change at Xinjiekou and then travel 3 stops up to XuanWumen Station.
We had a quick stop at Starbucks. Then it was a quick walk to the lake.

First you see the Wall. It is a grand entrance with three arches and large red doors.
As you pass the gate you can see the lake. Today the lake and the sky where the same colour.
Grey, but still very beautiful. It almost had an eerie feel to it.
It was almost like I was waiting the Lockness monster to appear.
It really is very beautiful. There are a series of islands in the lake that are joined by bridges.
It is a very pleasant walk.

We will have to return on a nicer day when the sun is out.
Time for lunch.
Blue Frog. Back on the Metro. We were all starving. Burgers all round.
Then the Metro ride back. The kids where all very tired.... and so where the adults.
Great Day Nanjing.
