England for week

After arriving back to England from Scotland I spent a few days back in Chelmsford. Catching up with some friends and running some errands, and lots of boring stuff. But it was good to see my friends in Chelmsford again, and have some meals with them. Thanks Christina for our lunch and drinks, much appreciated.

Then the day before flying out to Sweden, I spent it in London (weather was amazing). After dropping of my bag at Brett's office, and walking by Westminster muttering something along the lines of ''bloody tourists!'' (yes I keep forgetting I am one), I made my way to the Tate Modern and met up with Rei, from my Paddywagon tour. She had been through the museum which was good as I had previously, so we were left with their newest attraction ... the giant slides!!!!!! Brilliant ... fact!! Basically just slides that go from various levels, but are very steep and a great deal of fun!

We then headed out for a carvery lunch by the Thames, before heading over to St Pauls Cathedral, then walking though the streets eventually ending up at Covent Garden, with lots of street performers on a beautiful 22 degree day. From there I caught up with Brett at his office to take my bag back to his place before going out for drinks, in an area known as Little Venice. Caught up with another cricket mate from home Stewart Harris (who reads this religiously! gday Estee), but he is also my premiership side captain, so it was good catching up, speaking some dross about cricket and other matters. Rei then came for a couple of drinks, before Brett got us lost looking for another pub, but good craic. Rei was off to Canada then next day so we saw her off, then finished the night, before Heather thought we should be heading out once more to go dancing! Not on your nellie!
