Edit Blog Post

Hello again,
Its 3 days since my last update and theres no way i could fit in all that has happened since then but sure i try give the highlights.
Tuesday night i met up with 3 people from back home in an irish bar on the Kho san road. I actually met them the night before but had forgotten about them in my first blog so apologies to Michael, Amy (both from tyrone) and shane (tipperary). Anyway the drinks and craic were flying along as the questionnaire we drafted up in the wee hours of the morning which we used to interrogate people walking by......i suppose you had to be there. After a few game of pool it was 8am before i called it a night.

On wednesday, not feeling up to much travelling as explained above i went shopping, well more window shopping on the silom road. This is another really cool place in Bangkok. There are hundreds and hundreds of stalls lining the street with cheep clothes shoes and basically anything else you want for a fration of the price of back home! Then there are also the shopping centers which are large and very modern. Thats one thing i was suprised about when i got here in bangkok. I didnt expect it to be so modern. It has a skytrain and underground the puts dublin to shame.
Unfortunatly my flip flops arent great and they cut one of my feet which were sore and tired anyway from the last few days walking about. So i popped into get my first thai massage for my feet and shoulders. It cost about 10 euro for an hour! Great stuff!! You get a real going over in these places and my feet and shoulders felt like new after it! You have to get one of these if you come here!
Anyway yesterday i went to the rose gardens outside bangkok. I was hoping there were gonna be some Tigers there (i was told by someone there was and you could have your photo with them) but unfortunately there were none. I wasnt disappointed though as there were some elephants and a cultural thai show which was really cool!
Last night i had an early night to try and catch up on some much needed sleep. Although this early night was interrupted around midnight when i had an unwelcome visitor in the form of a huge feckin cockroach or somthing similar. Anyway the next hour was spent by me chasing him round the room(he was very very fast ) or him chasing me.....i dunno who was more scared!!!!
Well im off now to the Palace here in bangkok and will update this blog with photos from it in the next few days.
Thankfully my visa for vietnam is ready today and so im leaving Bankgkok tomorrow morning for Chang Mai in the north to day a 3 day hill walk.
Ill let you know how i get on......

P.S. go on the reds!
