George is still not well, so this morning we made the decision that he needs to see the ship’s Doctor in the on board hospital. By the time we got to call them, they had closed for the morning, so we made an appointment for 6.00pm this evening.
After a light breakfast, George headed back to bed and Theresa to the casino.
The Doctor says George has Bronchial Pneumonia, laryngitis and tonsillitis. He has X-rays, blood test and is very well looked after. USA law states if a person is diagnosed with Pneumonia, a three way test also has to be done to ensure Legionella is not present. Suffice to say, this was negative.
They put him on a nebuliser for about 30 minutes that does a good job of clearing his airways.
Theresa had to call the Insurance Company as the bill was going to come to about $1100, but they were quite happy for us to proceed.
He left the clinic with some strong antibiotics, some strong cough medicine and some throat lozenges.
We have a booking at Cagney’s steakhouse for dinner tonight, so head straight from the doctors to there.
As
expected, the meal at Cagney’s was great, and when they heard that George had just come away from seeing the doctor, they did their extra best to look after him.

Day 23
Poor George, he sounds to be in a hell of a state, so unlucky when this is such a wonderful holiday. Maybe as well it's during sea days, so not missing too much. Sounds as if you were well looked after.
