Following the Dakar Rally Part 5 - HEAVEN. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
And the earth was without form and darkness was upon the face of the deep.
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
And God saw the light, and it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night.
And the evening and the morning were the first day.
And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and God called the firmament Heaven.
And the evening and the morning were the second day.
And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear.
And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called the Seas: and it was good.
And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit whose seed is in itself, upon the earth; and it was good.
And
the evening and the morning were the third day.
And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and for seasons, and for days, and years.
And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth.
And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind; and it was good.
And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was good.
And God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
And God blessed them, and God said unto them,
Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.
And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
*****
The Eighth Day And on the eighth day God raised the Andean mountains from the sea and made an ethereal paradise upon...and called it Bolivia.
And it was good...very good...brilliant in fact.
And God made a special place thereon...where only flamingoes, vicunas, vizcachas and dancers go.
Reserva Nacional de Fauna Andina Eduardo Avaroa.
And the road lay before us...inviting...enticing...sunset plains...sulphurous waters...volcanoes walking...mountains talking.
Painted palettes in desert browns, scarcely greens, aqua blues, fiery reds, snow whites and scorching yellows.
Dazzling us in cerulean, sapphire, emerald, carnelian, ruby, turquoise and gold.
And I emerged
from my vision...and what I saw was good...very good...Heavenly in fact.
Relax & Enjoy,
Dancing Dave

A zen-like mantle rests so deliciously...
A brilliant idea to have Ali Farka Touré & Toumani Diabaté playing desert blues & so thought Rocco & Tung who have desert DNA 'cos those little part Abyssinian cats came arunnin' nestling around the music source, their eyes misty & distant as they listened & gazed at the magnificent desert photos (all 162 of them) dreaming of past incarnations. And me? Well. Page 5 made me gasp! There is something about altitude. Maybe it is the low oxygen levels, 5,500 metres can do it to you. A zen-like mantle rests so deliciously over you & simplifies the beauty, enhances the experience. And it was good...very good...brilliant in fact. :)
