a new barn
replaces the roman fort Dad and I took ourselves off for lunch today, and we went to the Kerry Vineyard. It was a lovely warm day, how different from the wind of yesterday, and we had a look round the vines after we'd eaten. It is apparently built on the site of a Roman fort, and there is a well (Perspex covered, but you can walk over it and see into it ) inside the café which could date from Roman times. Then we drove up over the nearby Kerry Ridgeway, admired the views, and came back via the Anchor. Thought you might also like to see the champion's cup that Dad and his partner won at bridge for the highest average score, its all engraved with their names. How proud are we?
