TOLEDO
I took this picture from inside the bus and I love it because it looks like JR Tolken LANDFriday our BU group went to Toledo for the day!
It was VERY hard to get up and be at the meeting spot by 9:30 AM because I was out with Carolina (a girl from Bogota, Columbia who's mother is friends with Luz Helena, and they both stayed with us for the week!)
Luz Helena, Carolina's mother, Carolina and I first went bar hopping eating tapas and other Spanish food. Then Carolina and I went to el Capitol (the famous seven story club in Madrid) -- although I don't remember SEVEN stories, but maybe we didn't go up all of them.
Anyway, we just got home really late (or early?)
BUT Toledo was great none the less! It was the capital of many kingdoms in Spain before it was moved to Madrid (by Ferdinand? I should know this I have a test on Wed. that I SHOULD be studying for right now--my excuse is that I am waiting for my parents to SKYPE me)

so in Toledo I basically walked around a lot and took pictures of the old, cute city. We went to a bunch of churches (most of which are now museums or other things)--it is really cool because at any given time in the history of Toledo, there were Christians (Catholics of course is what I mean), Muslims and Jews, and they all lived together and worked for each other. Therefore, there is a lot of Muslim design evident in the Jewish churches/Christian churches, and vice-versa as well as with the Jewish artists. The town has a LOT of history that I really don't have time to write here but is extremely interesting if you want to read up on it!
I had ice cream and a tortilla bocadillo and tinto de verrano.
