Hi Everyone - Tales from London

Hi Although we are in Gran Canaria now this is the first time we have had to complete the blog. Had a great weekend in London, did all the usual touristy things. Kensington Palace, Hyde Park (we even went jogging, hope you are impressed Dave!), Tower of London, boat trip on the Thames and of course Buckingham Palace and The Changing of the Guard.

We also happened to find the London festival put on by the Mayor of London which had a street parade and finished with a firework display. In usual Kersten fashion I got talking to a man next to me who was very nice and I was going on about how impressive Buckingham Palace is with all the gold ceilings etc and I asked him had he been in. He then replied ´I have actually, my father was awarded an OBE´ . I felt a right idiot but he was very nice about it!

We then went to see Robbie at the Milton Keynes bowl, his last concert of the European Tour. It was brilliant, supposedly 90,000 people. We then had a mad dash back to the station and just managed to get back to London in time to catch the last tube.
