2 Timothy 14

14 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, 15 and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 1 In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: 2 preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage--with great patience and careful instruction. 3 For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. 5 But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, and discharge all the duties of your ministry.

Just thought we would send a short Blog message to all who follow us because 12 months today we arrived in the UK on this leg of our journey with God.

Sometimes people ask 'Where has the past 12 months gone?' but we don't have to ask as we know. We have been very very busy with Church and with work and our friendships in Albrighton, especially within the United benefice continues to grow. We have made some very special friends especially Revd Mary & Bill, Pauline & Nick, Trevor, David & Gerry and all members associated with the St Chad PCC and congregation plus all at St Mary's and St Cuthbert's.

We miss all of our family, extended family and friends back in Australia but we are happy and content with where God has placed us and with what he has given us to do.

THANK YOU ALL FOR FOLLOWING OUR JOURNEY SO FAR

G'day
Hi Jess and Evelyn. Love 2 Tim 14. Straight talk is usually the best. Love the snowy photo of your church you sent to Holy Trinity. I still like the warm, better than the cold, but agree it looks fantastic. Great to hear you are well and content. All goes well here. 3 of the grandchildren are staying over tonight, which will be wonderful. Love and prayers, Don and Ruth Johnston. Hastings

Christmas blessings.
Thanks for your best wishes for Christmas. We are well, and excitedly wait for Boxing Day when the 4 West Aussies arrive and all the family will be together again. Very hot and very dry, and several more scorching days lie ahead of us...40+ degrees. Busy preserving cherries, apricots and raspberries. Blueberries almost ready plus plums and peaches. Yum. Stay warm and cosy out of the snow. Think of you often. Look forward to your coming visit to Holy Trinity. All ready for a 'Kids Christmas' with our grandchildren singing, playing music etc. at 6pm Christmas Eve. Love and prayers. Don and Ruth.
