TOLEDOTOLEDOTOLEDO

From outside of the bus :)
It is 5 AM and I just got home to my casa--- sorry no pictures!

Today I woke up at 2 AM and did some reading for class (ahhhhh tomorrow I have to do SO much homework-well I guess not THAT much).

So I ate breakfast . . . and then ate lunch.

Then I went to meet my friend Alicia at Plaza de Colón to go to El museo de la Reina Sofia. On the way we found this really cool photography exhibit of Isabel Muñoz. The photos were amazing!

After walking for a while (neither of us wanted to spend the time underground onthe metro) we got to the Reina Sofia and got to see the temporary exhibit of Picasso----including "El Guernica".

Next, we had some chocolate and churros (finally!!) They were great!

We heard some drums in the distance and it turns out there was a drum circle forming in the plaza in front of the Reina Sofia. I of course had to check it out-----and we ended up joining the drum line and dancing to the beats for at least a mile - It was awesome=my favorite thing EVER ---dancing to live drums!

After a while though, we realized we had NO idea where we were --- and we were hungry --- so we decided to break off and get something to eat. We ate some really delicious Indian food for cheap.

The drum people were passing out flyers and it turns out they had there own organization and cafe. So we found the cafe and got some cafe con lech (for 1 euro) and danced there with the drum people.

Next thing we knew it was too late to take the metro back so we walked home (stopping at Mc Donalds for some 60 cent Euro ice cream).

On the way back this guy asked for directions and we ended up talking and going out to another club. It ends up he is here on business staring up this new crazy (AND HORRIBLE) advertising medium where people can put ads on their phone and get paid for it by the company they are advertising. For example, I could make a personalized add for a Volvo (if I just bought one) and when people call me instead of hearing my phone ringing, or a song playing, they would hear my personalized ad for Volvos. Then, I would get paid everytime someone called me.

I told him five million times how creepy and unethical that would be. But, of course, he's going to make a lot of money and already has gotten interest from some major companies.

So, once that big brother idea takes off I will have to start an anti-campaign.

Anyway, I am tired and need to sleep so that is all for now!

Tomorrow is "La noche en blanco" I am excited!

Love, Stephanie
