After our final breakfast with Susanna, our Ometepe mama, at 5:15am we headed to the ferry and onward tot he border. We literally walked from Nicaragua to Costa Rica and what a difference a border line makes! This place is much more developed and has lush green mountains everywhere. It was also refreshing to have our first bit of rain in Central America and it's actually chilly enough for a jacket!

We arrived at our hotel around 3 and booked a nightwalk in one of the rain forests. Kitted out from head to toe, torch in hand, we ventured into the unknown in the dark. Although we did not see a sloth or a viper we did see a honey bear, am owl, a wolf spider, a possum, fireflies, glow in the dark fungi and a woodpecker. It was an experience! and there were a few crazy and unique trees in there as well.

Tomorrow we are heading off to zipline like superman through the trees, above the trees and round the trees at 7:30 a.m before walking around an other cloud forest in the daylight hoping to sight a sloth!

Adios familias!

xx
