So two days later Im now in Granada which is an awesome city, It seems to be so clean and the buildings here are amazing, If anyone is heading this way I recommed the Oasis backpackers. Free internet, swimming pool and a massive selection of free dvds. Met up with a couple of Kiwi mates from Costa Rica here and spent most of yesterday and today walking around checking it all out. They have some amazing churchs here. One impressive one we ventured into had glass floors and you could see an open coffin of what we guess to be an old priest. We took a stroll to the edge of Lake Nicaragua which is about 3 times the size of Lake Taupo. From here there were great views of the volcano on the lakes island. The water however is dirty brown and there is so much rubbish on the waters edge. Last night Erin, Paul (Kiwi boys) and I enjoyed a huge 3 course meal, a few drinkys and a few Flor de CaƱa shots at a resturant, it cost us about 15NZD each an we worked out back home it would have been around 55NZD each. So im very impressed with Nicaragua and strongly recommend it. Definatly hit Granada if you in the country, next onto Tica Bus back to Costa Rica at 1pm.
Much love
Dan
