Good morning all!

It is 9 p.m in Antigua as we write this but 4 a.m according to our bodies. We are glad to be lying down after a long (and we mean long) taxi ride from Guatemala City airport to our hotel which our taxi driver struggled very much to find. Our first impressions of Antigua is that is appears safe, yes mothers - safe, so stop panicking! Even at night the colours bounce off the buildings and the streets are rather lively. Our hotel is nice and central in a busy street with a couple of bars, restaurants and little shops. It is very quaint and cute and is run by a family who speak no English so we will be learning/brushing up on some Spanish tomorrow!

There will be plenty of pictures tomorrow from what we've seen driving through already.

Adios Amigos!

La bienvenida a Antigua
Welcome to Antigua! So happy for you both, however, as you know I am a little worried about the violent crime rate in Guatemala, therefore, I do believe you only need this one Spanish phrase "Mi madre tiene un arma y ella te encontrarĂ¡ y ella te va a matar." xxx

Typical!
I knew before even translating it was something about my mother getting the person, although I expected it to be with your car mother. Your m.o has changed! xxx
