Today we left Split and headed to Dubrovnik by bus.
In hindsight we could have spent more time in Split as there are many neighbouring islands to explore.
The bus trip to Dubrovnik is about four hours and follows the coast most of the way.
Not really sure of where the Croation border is, but the road cuts through Bosnia for a short part of it. This means passport control going in and coming out.
The scenery is magnificent, with little towns around each bend and the clear blue water surrounded by the hills.
The islands in the distance do remind us of the Whitsundays.
We drive straight past our accomodation which is 11kms outside of Dubrovinic to the main bus terminal. The little we saw of the town looks inviting.
There was a huge modern bridge to enter and the cruise ships in the port seem to be following us around.
We jump in a taxi and head back out to settle into our new place for 5 nights.
The resort is huge and feels like a mini city within itself.
It has four pools, seven restaurants, shops and many
bars.
On this occasion we have a one bedroom apartment and having a kitchen, lounge room, dinning room and a large outdoor patio seems huge to our last four weeks.
Later in the week we can catch a shuttle bus or take a boat into the old town to explore.
