Back in Taganga always felt great. I grew to love this place- there was just an awesome vibe about this place! Each time i came to leave, something would hold me back! Definitely alot of fond memories of this small, otherwise unremarkable, fishing town.
The days were largely spent chilling, either on the beach or in the hostel (casa de felipe). Sunset watching became a favourite past time- each sunset different to the next, and almost always spectacular!
I cant write about Taganga without mentioning ¨Kelly´s Juices¨-by far the best juices i have tried in South America. it was a daily fix, often more than once. Tropical fruits, some of which i have never tried in my life before- Sabote, guanabana, and lulu...oh i love lulu!!! Kelly came to know me as a regular. You can tell that this beach was filled with Israelis when Kelly herself (a Colombian born), was able to speak Hebrew. she was surprised to find out i was not Israeli! everywhere i go people say ¨shalom¨!
Going out in the nearby large town of Santa Marta was great. There was definitely a different vibe to other areas. People

clockwise: mario, asaf, sean, claudio,ashley, john, vickyhad darker features. La Puerta (the door), was our joint- filled with locals, local beats, and a dance floor without a roof. You could dance salsa under the open air, sweat filled faces everywhere and the daily changing moon above. its amazing that i only really appreciate the moon when i´m high from dancing. reminds me of the full moon parties in thailand!
Had made some awesome friends here, and we would all just chill and hangout. Someone would play music, from the own unique music collection or play an instrument- i loved the music from different languages. Its amazing. We even got together one night and cooked up a feast! More expensive than eating out, but 100 times tastier- amazing how you can miss simple things like a great salad...or brownies- i love brownies!
Said to be awesome diving. I ventured out for some specific dives. i was a pro since recently diving in the Galapagos. The 2 dives were specialised deep dives. The first, 26metres deep, was a cave dive. we entred the cave and one by one we entered a crevice containing a pocket of air, where you could take off your mouth piece and
breathe. Your voice at this depth was like a chipmunk´s! The second dive was simply a deep dive, where i got to appreciate some of the Carribean marine life. Admittedly they werent amazing dives, but were definitely different to my previous diving repertoir!
I woke up one day and realised that today i was leaving. it just seemed right! It was however quite sad to part from friends that i had made travelling overseas, especially my friend Claudio, whom i had been travelling with for the prior 3 months. But another new adventure starts- was definitely strange to get into that taxi and travel on the bus alone for the first time for many months! and guess what happens? my camera gets stolen! i always sleep with my small pack as a pillow. i think it was stolen the moment i had gone to the sucky bus toilet! having only realised after disembarking the bus, it was too late! luckily i had only lost 5 days worth off photos!

Wow, bummer about the camera... picking up a replacement? My dad once said my camera and my passport were the two most important things in my pack.
