part of the palace built for the Sultan and his wives; the Alhambra built by the Moors in Granada. Absolutely stunning.
We left Toledo and travelled to Granada. Overqll a very pretty city, but in the middle of some reconstruction. THe next morning, we saw pôssibly the most beautiful architecture ever. It was truly stunning. It was the palace of the Sultan, and all of his billions of wives.

THe details on all of the walls and ceilings were amazing. THere were fountains in a time that used no pumps and relied on gravity. On our way to the gardens, we found the resident cats. THey all loved Zane and he turned into crazy cat man briefly. THe GeneralLife gardens were gorgeous and maze like. It makes you wonder what life was like back then. We were looking at an echo of what once was and it took our breath away. We hqve pictures, we are just waiting for an opportunity to upload then. Hopefully tomorrow you will get to see some of what we have.

From Granada we passed through Malaga, lots and lots of vineyards and olive groves. Along the way we saw wind farms. THey were in the straight picking up the ocean wind. THat was a neat sight to see. Marbella was a rich yacht club

if you look in the centre of this wooden ceiling, you'll see a layered indentation. They built it with seven layers to symbolize the path to Allah. At least that's what I remember. Regardless it looks pretty bitchin.
where we hqd some lunch and did some people watching. Caught the fqst ferry to Tangiers from Tarifa to make landfall in Africa.

if you look closely at the walls, they are entirely carved with intricate script about how great this Allah dude is. Amazing as the WHOLE palace is covered with it. The windows have wooden screens so the Sultan can look out and keep an eyes on his many wives and they can't see him.

what can I say? I love the kitties and they love me. Lots of cats in Spain in Portugal. They are generally taken care of by everybody. They are typically very social with other cats and are somewhat wary of people.
