The most walkable city I have ever been in.

Walking around Brussels is easy and fun. There are lots of great sites near our hotel - interesting arvhitecture, statues, fountains, and more. There are always tons of other folks out walking too.

Today was sunny and the humidity was higher than we are used to so even at 60 degree out we felt warmer than we usually like.

We walked from our hotel up to Grand Place. This is a very large cobblestone plaza bordered by large beautiful buldings. There was a flower market in the middle and lots of families were there. While there, we visited the city museum. It was great. Even though there was quite a crowd outside, the museum was lightly attended. It presents a history of Brussels in art, sculpture, and artifacts.

The part we liked the best was the area in the museum with maps that show the city starting in the early 16th century up through modern times. It was fun to try and figure out where our hotel would be on each map. It helped thathe our hotel is one block away from St. Catherine's church, which was shown on every map.

Are you sure it was that warm?
Despite you being so warm, most of the other people in the photos seem to have a different idea based on their attire. Also...I'm glad Brendan posed in imitation of this statue and not the Mannekin Pis statue.

As in the UK, most folks here wear coats and a lot have scarves as well. We almost always feel hot. I think the humidity is just higher here so even on a 60 degree day we feel warm.
