Mi habitación!Mi habitación!Mi habitación!

My wall---in my room
Well, I am officially in my new home el barrio de Salamanca en Madrid.

My host senora is pretty nice. I am surprised I understood everything she was saying! When I first arrived she let me unpack, then took me around the block to see all the shops and bars around me. She even got us both vino tinto y arroz negro. It was great.

It still is kind of wierd though living here. I got home extremely late last night and I felt bad when the door squeaked . . . but I am pretty sure she is used to kids having late nights/mornings. She has had many other students through the BU program before so she does have experience!

She bought una guía del ocio for me to see when all the movies, plays, dance performances, etc. are--I am really excited to start seeing things in Spain!

Yesterday I went out with some friends. Wierdest thing ever was coming back on the bus at 5 AM with friends and seeing hundreds of other Madrileños (?) out on the street STILL! When do these people sleep?!

Tonight I am going to a bull fight and
Mi cama!Mi cama!Mi cama!

My bed
I am NOT going to like it---but BU will reimburse us I think so that is good.

And tomorrow I start school!! Please everyone wish me good luck!!! I am SO scared considering I don't even have my planner and need to get tutored and don't really know where my classes are!
But it shouldn't really be that difficult. Actually on the bus last night we met another student who was studying at el Instituto as well. Wierd!

Well, if anyone wants to call me I have a number in Spain now so email/message me and I can give it to you.

Plans for a trip to Barcelona are in the works!! I am trying to convince everyone that an overnight trip by train is MUCH more fun than a flight!

Adios todos!
