The view from the window of Simon's appartment
I am in my 3rd day in Bogota, the capital city of Colombia. I have been staying with my friend Simon in an appartment in a nice neighborhood called Usaqeun. I have spent some time wandering around exploring different parts of the city, the weather has been a pleasant change from England with beautiful sunshine and 25°C through the day. I have been walking around in shorts t-shirt and flip flops getting funny looks from the locals who have jeans and jackets on.

Yesterday I went up to Cerra de Monserrate which is a church on top of one of the highest mountains surrounding Bogota where you have some epic views over the city. I also walked up one of the mountains this morning with Simon which was hard work but had some incredible views over the city.

Tomorrow I will be moving on to San Gil which is further north in the mountains where you can do lots of acitivitys like rafting, canyoning and paragliding.
