Well we made it to Liberia! We took a cold and very short walk down a busy street in Toronto last night to wear off a great dinner! Our flight to Liberia was on time and after a bit of a panic at the ticket self-service kiosk (Curtis' ticket had his middle name, passport did not!) we boarded our plane. We sat with a nice young man who kindly gave us his travel book for Costa Rica. The flight was uneventful followed by a smooth landing at a very windy airport in Liberia. Yes, there may have been a few random thoughts about crashing ?. All went well and we disembarked to a very hot and humid day. At that moment I totally realized I had too many clothes, and several I would not need! We eventually found our way to the Best Western Las Espuelas hotel. A clean, yet nondescript place where we sat around the pool soaking up some late afternoon rays of much appreciated sunshine and enjoyed a cold beer. Curtis realized we weren't the only sun worshippers after spying a huge iguana sunning itself in the rafters near our room! After a nap we went down to the hotel restaurant for our New Year's Eve dinner! Wishing all our friends a wonderful and blessed new year filled with love, friendship and good health!

Have been wondering about the take-off
Hey ... you lucky two! Very crappy day here ... windy and if it really snowed we would be in trouble. They have snow squall warnings out and the forecast is not good until next week when they are calling for mild temps and rain ... we might get some New Year Snow Days before the rain! lol Won't that make some parents happy?? I could make a list of those parents that will be calling to see how many staff we have and what time they can drop off their herd hehe ... Enjoy your time as it will fly by! All I ask is that you think of us back here in Ontario ... sniff sniff
