Hey all...

Well - Josh and I can't believe that it has finally arrived. It seems like it was only a few days ago that we looked at each other and said..."well, why don't we go to Europe...?". Our last summer in Vancouver and it seems like we spent most of it serving people steak, lamb, chicken and expensive wine in hopes of funding our trip! We did have the opportunity to go Mexico with Josh's family and Maui with mine as well as our annual Kelowna trip with friends and family.

Josh and I (but especially Josh) have worked so hard over the summer and are now so excited to have the opportunity to share a wicked trip together before we 'settle down' in our new home in Calgary in the new year. We wanted you all to be able to share our European travelling experience with us, hence this lovely travel journal, so we've added you all on as our subscribers to get a new email everytime we update our blog. This also gives you the option to write us little notes, tips and 'words of wisdom' as my parents would say!

We take off tomorrow (Tuesday) night and land in London. After a few days we head to Edinburgh, then Dublin, Amsterdam, and Paris. Our tentative plan is then to fly to Portugal and then train back through Spain, South of France, Italy, Croatia and Turkey. I have been told that places such as the Algarve in Portugal and the Cinque Terre in Italy has a way of slowing most peoples progress so we'll just have to see how it goes! We would, of course, love to hear from you all along the way.

Laters!

Love,

Josh and Kat

Smelly?
Hi Josh and Kat, It is so neat that you have set up this blog thing! You are making me "homesick" for Ireland!1 I loved it there; it was my favorite trip in all the tim Reg and I travelled. The people are so down to earth and friendly. I had to laugh when you complained about smelly people, etc.; It is only going to get better or worse, whichever way you look at it. Oh well, you get used to it somewhat, and it is a small price to pay for the experience. Take care and keep having fun! Barb
