Thanks to Mr. Wotherspoon for reorganizing us into new groups so we can continue to get to know each other. We set out this morning in groups of 20 - each with a guide for a 31/2 hour walking tour of Bruges. The medieval history continues to impress me and I remain in awe of just how old this city is. We were told today that if the residents of Bruges from 1300 came back today, they could still find their way around - that is how well this city is preserved. The Chocolate Museum was a big hit and just so you know, white chocolate isn't chocolate..... It is amazing to really stop and take a good look at the buildings, there are many numbers, gargoyles, spires, cherubs, friezes, that tell so many stories and capture so much history. I suspect many of us will return on Monday to take a canal boat ride. Some of took on the Bruges Belfry and climbed the 366 steps - it got quite narrow and daunting near the top - to the top but the views were incredible. Most people return to the hotel with a shopping bag or two each time we head out. A soccer game broke out with the younger boys this afternoon in the back garden of the hotel and Aidan, Dennis and I are framing a project for Grade 8 history we hope that Mr. Dion will be really proud of!

The wifi is a bit of a challenge in loading pictures - but I will keep trying. We have an important day ahead of us tomorrow, everyone is settling in early tonight.
