'God's own Country' is no exaggeration for the beauty of Kerala..
Every time you go there, you are always mesmerized by the Nature.. the greenery, fresh air, culture, sea, backwaters .. and every place in Kerala is special in its own way.
This time, we headed towards Munnar and Alleppey.. for the 4 days Diwali vacation..
You cover the first 400km in just 5 hours from Bangalore, and the last 100km takes close to 4 hours again .. but the last 100km is surprisingly what you will always want to return to! Waterfalls, lush green tea estates, mountains, valleys, fresh air and a light drizzle which makes the drive even more beautiful!
We have seen Munnar on screen and the kids were waiting to see where Shah Rukh uncle's jeep landed in Chennai Express, but were stunned to actually see the beauty once we reached Mattupetty and Kundala lake.. and as usual the drive to these locations was out of the world!
And then as usual.. every vacation has to end at a beach.. at least for the kids.. and so we head towards Alleppey. Kerala would probably be one of the few places where even
a terribly long 6+ hr drive (for just 180km), through narrow bad roads can also be as wonderful as ever 😊 The beauty of nature and lovely houses fills the path all through and we land in Alleppey .. The private beach resort was truly private and a beach will always be just pure fun !!

Nice article! Sometimes I feel travelling is all meant for big people.
