So apparently traveling with 2 kids brings some interesting discoveries. So first of of all Ethan must look like a sweet puppy who you just want to give a snack to or completely underfed, because he has been collecting treats from every random stranger. In the Shanghai we had 2 people giving ethan packages of crackers, in Thailand we have had all sorts of snacks and treats coming his way as well. Also a new discovery is that Owen is actually a celebrity baby. We have had more people ask us (or in some case not ask us) to take his picture. He just smiles away. We were eating at an Indian food restaurant and a lady sitting next to us said "give me your baby" she apparently thought that he needed some attention and proceeded to smoother the poor child for 5 minutes. (yes I am the Mom that just handed over the kid, hey it means I got 5 minutes to eat with out him on my lap I will take what I can get!) Who knows what other crazy things we will discover on our travels about the kids. So far Asia has been really good to them and us!

Bangkok has brought us some tired fun chaos! We arrived at 2:15 Friday morning, had a nap then found some breakfast. We are staying at D&D inn which has a breakfast included, not my typical breakfast choice the options were: spaghetti w/ meat sauce, hot dogs, runny sunny side up eggs, sugary corn flakes with milk, toast w/ jelly, green salad, and juices/coffee. Needless to say Ethan and I had a lot of toast and jelly. We decided to take Friday easy, Gerson got a massage, while Owen had a nap and Ethan and I played in the room, we then went for a walk and ate some lunch. Then decided to lay down for a short nap, 5 hours later we woke up. Oops, evil jet lag. Went for a swim and then ate some dinner and back to bed. Well jet lag kicked in, Ethan was up at 1:00 and Owen to follow at 3:00. We had a long Saturday coming!

Saturday came with a nap followed by an attempt to go to see the royal palace, when we got there it was closed to foreigners it was a random holiday. So we set about trying to find something else to do, we looked into taking a long tail boat ride but they wanted a ridiculous price for it, so we opted in taking a water taxi across the river to a temple that looked interesting. As it turns out, at that specific temple people buy fish and release them into the river and pray. This was a hit, there were buckets of fish, eels, turtles, minnows, tadpoles just waiting for Ethan to stare at them and yell.

Sunday we decided to take a half day trip to the floating markets and ride some elephants. It was a lot of fun! However they didn't warn us that is was an 1 1/2 hour of driving there or we would have come equipped w/ the Ipad or Itouch or maybe at least 1 toy. Oops lesson learned. Ethan did pretty good pointing out all the motorcycles, good thing there are A LOT here. Ethan enjoyed the Elephant ride until at the end we wanted a picture taken and the elephant gave him a sniff he didn't like that too well. We have heard a lot of the same store repeated from Ethan, "Elephant made a big poop" and the "Elephant scared me!" We had a great time, it was a first for all 4 of us. Of course they both boys passed out on the drive back to Bangkok. Next is crazy packing and ridiculous early flight (6:15 what were we thinking) and we are off to Bali.

Looking forward to some beach and relaxation. Oh and Brenda did get a nice Thai massage in Bangkok, it was AMMMMMAZING.
