Another summer on my way to Zigen English Teacher Training Program in Huang Ping County in Guizhou for the third summer. I landed at Narita airport again this summer but for 5 hour layover so I'm in the airport trying to get some work done, waiting for a flight to Hong Kong this evening at 5:50 pm. Then I'll have to wait at the Hong Kong airport for about 10 hours for a flight to Guangzhou, then a connecting flight to Guiyang. It's a long journey but there are not many choices when you are using frequent flyer miles.

I didn't sleep on the plane from NYC except for about 1 hour so I'm quite tired. I just tried to respond to emails and get some documents in order while I have email access. I never know what will be the situation once I get to China. I would also like to download a book or two on my iPad but not sure whether that will work or not.

the airport is quiet; not many people in this area; there are a few shops but nothing too elaborate. The sky is clear and it must be very hot outside -- the inside is not overly air conditioned which I find comfortable.

Saying Hello!
Good to hear from you! And glad you have made the first leg of your journey successfully. Hope the next flight will be good as well and that you can actually sleep some. Good luck with your teaching and with the experience in China. Love you! Laurens and Lindy
