Off we go
Yes, another holiday! This time with mum, first time mother and daughter's trip. We went to Italy and England for total 15 days, initially thought it wasn't enough time to see 2 countries, but it was especially we were travelling slow. We stayed at 4 cities and did some day trips outside some of the cities.

We started at Rome then heading up towards north to see Florence, Venice then London. We stayed 3 nights in each city except 5 nights in London. Which City I enjoyed most? Hard to say, I have already visited Italy almost 10 years ago, but London was new to me. In fact London made me home sick for couple of days because it reminded me of good old Australia, the environment, friendliness people, green, architectural (of course Australia is much smaller in comparison) and diversity of food. I like London except the weather, it was raining and cold! And people were telling me they had heat wave the week before we came and the weather we had was London typical! Yikes! I prefer Australia then 😊

Weather in italy was great, warm and sunny with blue sky and white fluffy clouds all the

time. ( we don't get blue sky and white fluffy clouds in Shanghai!). Mum enjoyed Venice most because it's different, she also liked Rome because of its historical. Florence was nice, small and unique too.

We ate Italian food on most days of our trip in Italy. We had a few Chinese meals in London, of course we also had fish and chips, and pies. My favourite Italian food in Italy was roman chicken not saying that the pasta, pizza and steak were not good.

Transportation in Italy and London were good, affordable in Italy but extremely expensive in England. If you do enough homework, you can commute from airport to hotel and round each city for sightseeing easily. In Italy, a lot of people can speak English except really old women and men. I barely had to use my recently learned Italian. So that was a comfort. But expect the attitude from the services at airport and shops. It seems that they don't like tourists.

Anyway, it was a good trip. Now I definitely need a break from holidays and resting from flights. By the way Aeroflot (Russian airline) was not the best option for long
