Chuck and I are busy finishing our packing and planning for our big trip. In one week, we are leaving for our cruise. We have our passports ready, our Turkish visas printed, hotel reservations secured in Istanbul and Rome, and our texting and data plans set up so we can blog stories and pictures of our trip. Our itinerary will be:

June 17 Overnight in St. Louis
June 18 Flight to Chicago, Toronto and then Istanbul on AirCanada
June 19 9:00 AM Arrive in Istanbul- Check into hotel, sightsee, Topkapi Palace, Bosporus Cruise, Archeaology Museum
June 20 More sightseeing: Blue Mosque, Hajia Sophia, Grand Bazaar, Bridge from Europe to Asia, Whirling Dirvishes
June 21 More sightseeing, Board the Cruise Ship (Celebrity Equinox). Celebrate Birthday at dinner on board.
June 22 Mykonos Island, Greece. Explore the Island, shop, explore Delos Island, birthplace of Greek Gods.
June 23 Athens, Greece. Acropolis, ruins, shopping, and Uzo! 😊
June 24 Day at sea, enjoying the casino, and room service breakfast on our balcony.
June 25 We will dock at the ancient city of Valetta on Malta. The old walled town is a World Heritage Site.
June 26 Catania, Sicily. Mt. Etna, great fresh seafood, relaxing beaches.
June 27 Salerno, Italy. We are joining a tour with some fellow passengers. We will climb Mt. Vesuvius and visit Pompeii and drive along the Amalfi coast.
June 28 ROME!! Vatican!! Whatever else we can see.
June 29 More Rome.
June 30 Arrivederci, Italy! Flight home to St. Louis

Wow, what an agenda! Please, please, Vesuvius don't get nasty while my friends are there -- I don't want to have them dug up in 1000 years. :-)
