The local 137 metre pool
After finishing up our trip in Alaska, it was time to get settled in Vancouver. The attached photos show the house and neighbourhood that we will call home for the next 12 months or so. The August weather has been awesome and we have seen virtually no rain for which this city is famous.

We shared a couple of weeks here with Stu and Fee. When they arrived from the Rocky Mountains, they gave us the fantastic news that they were engaged! We celebrated with a trip to Vancouver Island... not to mention a few beers.

The relaxing life will be ending shortly, as GT and I have both found work in the taxation team of a funeral services company. Death and taxes... the only two certainties in life.

Stay tuned for more photos and stories, although most of our adventures will now be confined to weekends and the odd holiday.

Cheers,
MD & GT
