Another Jouney Begins Seattle to Cape Town

Well... here we go again. This time however the journey is bound to be more magical than before. Why you might ask? Well...We've partnered with a grassroots organization called Girls4Girls . We have Robyn, founder of Girls4Girls, to thank for being an amazing coordinator, bringing together a group of students from UBC and a new community of leaders who will be joining us. We'll be spending three weeks in Cape Town partnering with a local women's rape crisis center. Together we'll co-create possibilities for everyone involved.

As some of you know this last month has been a rocky one for my family . I leave Vancouver exhausted but with a heart filled of new possibilities and excitement however. Today the official list for finalists for the Women of Distinction Award was given out with my name included in the list of amazing women in Vancouver! And yesterday, I was able to create a bit of a media buzz around my niece's new club that we'll be starting this summer called the Healing Our Hurting Hearts Club . My niece will co-create this new amazing club that will bring together girls 11-18 years of age who have directly or indirectly experienced domestic violence. This is part of her healing process and an opportunity to take a horrendous situation and create something beautiful through it.



As this journey unfolds we'll share the details with all of you, as always. The flights about to board here in Seattle, then I have a 14 hour journey to Dubai (with an 8 hour layover) and..then... off to Cape Town...




PS- Did I mention I've decided to go shark diving (in a cage of course!) on this trip... Stay tuned!
