Monsoon misty Manali

Day 6

Well, having survived the 16 hours bus with the loudest and squeakiest brakes (which everytiime we heard we wondered if it was for the edge of a cliff!) we made it to manali.
Its apple season so tonnes of guys walking round with baskets full of apples and they are damn tasty! Lots of walking - mountains are huge and so green, chilling in amazing v cold waterfall finding our spirual side in a few more temples and meeting some super funny indians and 'crazy' travellers! sun bernt on first day.. what a schoolboy error.
Also checked out local ski hill and defo gonna make it back - for the one poma and the eighties all in one ski suts! cant wait...
its leh next and hopefully some trekking...
sorry for any spelling mistakes - sophs been feeding me banana cake all the while!!

Just wow - sounds amazing..saw the pyrenees this week and thought of you looking at the himalayas...we didn't have the snow, sun or banana cake..blog working well.. have fun... are you practising the head wobble - Lizzie only recently stopped doing it! thanks for keeping intouch - lots of love... have emailed too
