Winter StorageWinter StorageWinter Storage

Not Spring Yet
We were ready to get cruising on our new boat, but sadly it was not meant to be. The snow was coming down quite hard in Maryland and the forecast is for even more tomorrow. The boat is in winter storage up on the land in what they call dry storage. You can see all the boats in nice neat rows. There are literally hundreds of boats in this storage yard, just waiting for the warm weather. So, it seems that we must yield to mother nature and wait for the promise of spring yet to come.

Driving around, you can see that this part of the Chesapeake Bay is really quite picturesque. I guess we should just enjoy the beautiful winter wonderland-like scenes. It is really quite rural in this area with farms, barns and plenty of livestock. But, when you would rather be cruising it is hard to relish the moment. There is still plenty to do to get everything ready, so let's just work on that list.
