Hey All!!!

We've been here in Glasgow for the past two days. It's a lot more like a Canadian city here (compared to Edinburgh) and unfortunately we haven't had much opportunity to see many of the sites. Our hostel is kinda far from the city centre. On our first day, we went out to Paisley (a sub-urb of Glagow) to the Abbey (big fancy church) there - we got a personal tour by a really cool old Scottish guy - so that made the trip even better! Later we went to Glasgow cathedral (another big fancy church) and later Alex let me go shopping down Buchanan street (which is a super crowded shopping street) except I've been dressing grubby and looking like a boy so long - I didn't even want to shop - not to mention that the prices are CRAZY!!! Later that evening we met up with Amanda (from my Dent class) and her boyfriend Scott and went out for supper and some drinks - it was soooo nice to spend some time with a familar face. Today we went to Alloway, and saw the house that Robert Burns was born in, they also had a museum and a memorial garden nearby. We kinda accidently saw a man proposing to his girlfriend there... awwww! Tomorrow we leave to go back to Edinburgh for the Military Tattoo - which we are both really excited about.

If anyone has been worring about the terror plot at the UK airports - I think things should be settled down by the time we're flying (Aug 20), except we don't think we'll be able to take any carry-on.

P.S. We'll try to pay the confirmation deposits on-line (thanks)

We can't wait to come home!!!

departure time?
Hi Alex and Tamara! Just thinking about the last entry you made, saying that you weren't leaving until Aug. 20th. We thought that you were coming back on Aug. 17. Have you changed your plans? Sorry I missed your call, but it was still nice to hear your voice. All our love!
