Kingman - Oatman - Needles (97km) (Total 11445km)

Me he levantado sin prisa por la mañana y he descubierto un pinchazo en la rueda delantera. he cambiado la rueda sin revisar mucho y de nuevo pinchazo. Asi que revision a fondo y he descubierto un alambre, de los que hay en los neumaticos explotados de la carretera, metido en la goma. Asi que al final todo arreglado. Me he tomado mis cafes y he desmontado campamento. He hecho compra de fruta y demas en Kingman y me he puesto en marcha. Han sido unos 10km por unos cañones para abajo, luego otra de estas llanuras deserticas de 20 km. Y a partir de ahi para arriba, un puerto de montaña que sube por una cordillera volcanica y lleva a Oatman. He hecho una parada en una gasolinera y a los pocos metros de continuar he visto algo que parecia una mierda de burro en la carretera pero era algo muchisimo peor, una serpiente, dejo al avispado lector adivinar de cual se trata. La foto la he sacado con zoom, de lejos y preparado para salir pitando. De ahi para arriba por el puerto, mirando el suelo con cuidado por si anda la familia del bicho por ahi. Y luego para abajo, unos buenos barrancos y curvas cerradas. De hecho he visto un coche rojo destrozado en las piedras, no tenia buena pinta eso... En Oatman hay muchos burros sueltos, animales, me refiero. Era una antigua mina de oro, cuando llego la mecanizacion se quedaron en el paro, ahora roban y mendigan. El burro blanco de la foto me estaba mordisqueando la alforja de la comida, se ha llevado un cachete en el hocico despues de la foto. De ahi cuesta abajo, no por la ruta 66 sino por una carretera que baja directo, hasta Needles, donde he acampado. He cruzado un rio, no se muy bien cual, y ya estoy en California. Ahora me queda un buen trecho de desierto maldito, creo que el del mohave, que no se como voy a cruzar.

I've taken cafes and I pick up my camp. I got some fruit and other stuff in Kingman and I started. Then it was something around 10km down canyons , then another of these deserted plains for 20 km. And from there up, a mountain pass that climbs some volcanic mountain range and leads to Oatman. I made ​​a stop at a gas station and a few meters further I saw something that looked like a donkey shit in the road but it was something a lot worse, a snake, I leave to the astute reader guessing which kind it is. The photo is taken with zoom, from far and ready to get the hell out of there. From there up along the mountain, watching the ground carefully in case the family of the bug is out there. And then down, nice cliffs and sharp turns. In fact I saw a red car wrecked on the rocks, I was not good looking that... There is lots of donkeys in Oatman, i mean the animals. It was an old gold mine, then mechanization came, now they steal and beg. The white donkey in the photos was chewing the bag of food, he got a slap on the snout after the photo. From there downhill, not Route 66 but by a direct road down, to Needles, where I camped. I crossed a river, no idea which one, and I am in California. Now I have a good stretch of damn desert ahead, I think the mohave, no much idea how I am going to cross.
