Heeellloooo Edmonton!!!!

Hopefully everything is still going well back in ol' Alberta. We're still having a great time over here. Thanks for all the comments we recieved lately - it definately helps fight the homesickyness. We've spent the last three nights here in Fort William. On Sunday we climbed the infamous Ben Nevis (the highest mountain in the UK). I went into it pretty cocky; "We climb the Rockies all the time, how bad could this hill be?" Tamara would like to point out that she warned me otherwise. Anyhow it was a b&$!* and by the end of the 7.5 hour haul we we're dead tired. To make matters worse we had to tack on another 3km hike in order to get back to our hostel. We finished off the night with East Indian food- delicious but nauseatingly expensive (hey DAD: puppadum, puppadum, puppadum, puppadum, puppadum, puppadum). We also ran into Ellen (a lassie from my PHYSL class) which made for a few good nights of beer drinking and jenga. Most of the time the two ladies were deep in girl talk (now I know how Tamara feels when me and the guys are scratching and talking hockey). Yesterday we took a very rainy daytrip out to Glencoe with Ellen (our first taste of real Scottish weather). Not much to do there but the scenery was nice. The highlight was visiting a memorial to the MacDonalds of Glencoe who fell in the massacre. For dinner that night Tamara got all Scottish and cooked up a delicious traditional Scottish meal of haggis, tatties (potatoes of the instant variety), and mushy peas. Ummm... mushy... As for today we're still in an amazing amount of Ben-Nevis-induced pain and we're off to Glasgow.

Take it easy eh,
Tamara and Alex

Aaaaaaccccchhhhhhhhhhh
Thanks for saying hi to all of Edmonton, and leaving me out. Jerks!!! I'm still an Edmontonian at heart living amongst the enemy. Anyways, sounds like you guys are having fun. As for the hiking pains, that just means you aren't drinking enough. Shame on you, I thought we taught both of you better than that. Holidays mean binge drinking with no guilt. Remember, what goes on the road stays on the road. You guys are living the high life over there with your 'cooked up' meal and 'tatties'. I don't live that good over here. Laters P.S. Bring back a pair of your dirty socks, I want to know what Scotland smells like.
