Today we were going to take a drive to Napa Valley, but an impromptu decision to go to the 49er's game won out. The bug began to flutter around doing a very excited happy dance....why you may ask? Bug is a dedicated Packer fan and really really enjoys football, did I mention she loves football? We looked on Craigs list to find tickets but it didnt look too trustworthy, went to the 49er's page direct and found the available tickets were cheaper than what the craigslist pirates were asking. We could buy the tickets but how do we print them? I texted our host and they had an "air" printer and said no problem. So we proceded to clean up the place get the dishes done and shower quickly because the game was in a few hours and we had no idea how to get to the stadium.

Time to go, you cant put the bug and the bear together and not loose or forget things. Car keys, douwwww! Purses were emptied, dirty laundry was searched, and just I was about to start going through the garbage, hurray the bug found them!!! In the closet used to store our luggage on a shelf. Ok lets go, we need our tickets from the printer, knocking, shouting out their names, ringing the bell at the security gate, no answer. Are they going to rip off our packer tickets?? Finally another ring on the gate bell and Joe shows up at the upstairs window and drops down our prized documents.

Do we have everything? Check- now how do we get there? Can I say it's a good thing we left at 10:30am for a 1:25pm game- AND NO we weren't tail gating other than the 5 trillion cars that were bumper to bumper trying to get to the game, or the American Cup, or China town or who knows where else they are all going. The traffic here is CRAZY- I shall not curse about Chicago again- maybe. As we arrive at the "cash only-city parking lot" we realize we are in a dust storm dirt parking lot to which 49er are tailgating and harassing the Packer fans as they walk by. Fortunately for me (Bug) I was as usual...... unprepared and had innocuous clothing on that would neither identify or reveal my true following.......If I could just learn to keep my mouth shut! We make the trek to Candlestick park- walking in right where our tickets were only to find out the 3 Packer fans sitting in front of us were from Wisconsin as well. There were a surprising amount of Packer fans at the stadium.....I secretly believe we are the TRUE "America's Team"- Cowboys who??? The seats were fantastic, the game was incredible and the 49ers won.....but let's keep this blog positive.

We left early to avoid the crowds which we accomplished and were back at camp by 5:30PM. After a wonderful dinner of home made tamales and corn salsa (hold the tomatoes) we are camped out for the night watching.........you guessed it FOOTBALL-!!!!!

Love you Bear and thanks for taking 2 for the team today! My wings are happily tiring out and I'm ready for tomorrows adventure.

Need to add on, the trip back to camp we saw something amazing, fog was rolling over the mountains and it looked like an avalanche, God had his dry ice machine revved up and pouring out the smoke!! We continue to see the smoke from the rim fire and evacuation notices are playing on the TV for the fire area which is across the bay in Yosemite. Good night everyone Blog ya tomorrow, bear has a fresh air hangover and a slight sun burn.

PS candlestick park is a dump.
