Thank you AAA tour book. We needed a break coming from Niagara Falls to Albany and Geneva-on-the-Lake filled the bill in grand style. The ad in AAA said 2 or 3 night minimum stays; but it was Sunday and we had a feeling they would find us a suite. Our instincts were correct. Our suite (that's all there is) was gorgeous. There was a full kitchen (which we didn't use) and a bottle of NYS wine in the fridge of our fabulous suite. We relaxed, had a great candlelight dinner with live piano, toured the beautiful grounds, peeked a corner of sunset from Seneca Lake, and ended up in the parlor chatting with the GM. Breakfast served on the Patio (complimentary Continental of fruit, coffee and pastry more than suited us; but full breakfasts are available to order). The inn is located off of NYS Thru exit 42 on Route 14 in Geneva, NY. There are many, many NYS wineries nearby and a fab outlet mall Waterloo Premium Outlets between exits 41 & 40!! massive rennovation in 1979 and is now listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. It is presently owned by the Audi family, the owners of L&JG Stickley and is a showplace for Italian art and lovely traditional Stickley furniture.
