Hello everyone,
it has been a very busy couple of days as we were staying with our host families in St. George's for the weekend. I was staying with my friends Fran and Cartina with the Martin Family in an area called Woodlands. They own a snack company in Grenada called Sunshine Snacks. They have a beautiful house with an incredible view. On our first night with them we went out to De Big Fish-an outdoor oasis and pub where we listened to live music complete with guitar and saxophone. I had a Shandi Ginger Beer which was yummy. We also had snacks and tore up a bit of the dance floor ourselves. This is a more touristy place and there were many more white people there than any where else I had been. We had a great night sleep with ceiling fans, no bugs and hot showers what a treat.

On Saturday we had what our host Dianne calls a Knockabout Day. We went everywhere. We had a great breakfast and then headed downtown near the market to shop and I picked up some souvenirs. We went to the malls and checked things out. We had lunch at the Ocean View Grill right on the water. We met up there with a bunch of the YAM Crew for lunch. In the afternoon we drove up through the centre of the island to Annandale Falls and Grand Etang which is a volcanic lake that is now inactive. At the falls we even saw a falls jumper-and there was a box to give donations to the falls jumping association of which he is the only member. It was entertainment indeed.

At night we had pizza and stayed in for the night because it was raining.

We had a great church service in St. George's and I led worship with some friends. We had a traditional Grenadian lunch to follow.

We are in the home stretch now and back into workshops and reflection.

Good times are being had by all. Hope you are well where you are.
love Katy

One-man Association
I love the concept of a one-man association. Thinking of starting one myself. Can't decide if it should be based on a Kabbalah meets Scientology religion or that Unicorn Breeding Centre I pitched to Dave Reiss. Anyway, regardless of the angle, there will be a collection box for sure. Am still enjoying the food content of your travelog. I totally respect your affiliation with people who own snack companies. That shows a strong sense of priorities. Have a great end of trip. I'm getting ready to shove off myself to Edmonton for three weeks. Jason's actor brother and his girlfriend are back crashing in my house upon their return from filming a CTV Travel Channel show called "Pleasure Zones." That's all I'm going to say for now, Katy. I'll just let you ponder that one for a bit. Once again, all of this unfortunately, is fact. I don't make any of this up. Bon retour! Gladys
