Greetings - apologies for the tardiness of the update. I made it safely to Melbourne and have settled into comfortable surroundings in Chirnside Park amongst good friends and excited children.
Into to the hustle of central Melbourne yesterday, a brief return visit to the Victoria Art Gallery. Once again most of the interesting wings are closed for refurbishment but worth a visit for one or two pieces.
Great to meet up with the growing contingent of Melbourne friends. Now for a relatively lazy couple of days ahead and planning for the required BBQ gathering tomorrow before a Sunday evening hop to Christchurch.

Barbie in the snow?
Well there's no bl**dy barbecue here, I can tell you :-) We've been freezing our nuts off (not Annie of course) in the grip of some High pressure over Norway. Let the Norwegians keep their sodding High pressure and their cold winds and let us get back to a comfortable wet mild winter! I suppose you're going to bore us with tales of great heats and a mild balmy wind, and then go on about the gentle nut brown that you skin is forming, but we in Great Britain are made of sterner stuff. Not for us the mamby pamby warmth of Oceana. (Who dreamed up that name? Oceana, now you tell me, is Autralia an Ocean? :-)
