So I'm now dutifully repentant. : ) Thank you Jen! My last blog entry was written on one of those days which had been prefaced by one of those weeks. Nothing horrible happened, just an accumulation of frustrations, emotions, and problems building up till I just wanted to hide under the covers for a while.

So thankfully that's passed and I've moved on to bigger and better things. Like Christmas parties!!! Today was an incredibly long, but good day. We had a Christmas party a "nearby" orphanage. The kids had a great time eating, playing and doing a variety of crafts with all the many volunteers. The only down side was how far the place was away from Nanchang. It took us a good 3 1/2 hours there and back and we only got to spend about four hours with the kids. It was a good time all around though for everyone involved. I did feel a bit bad for the students that volunteered to come with. None of us really had any idea of what we were getting into, but I felt bad that they had such a long day with no forewarning. I should have asked for more

details before just dragging them along behind me. Oh well. It's all did and done and I plan on getting all 6 of them a little encouragement gift for being such good sports about it. Because even after all that long day, both guys who came bought me a drink at the rest stop and one offered to pay for my bus ride home. They're all so sweet and I'm grateful I've been blessed with such encouraging students.

Nothing big planned this week, but I just feel good in general because of it being the start of December. It feels like I have time to plan, get ready for things and just take it a day at a time if I use my time wisely. I definitely look forward to all of this month, no matter what it brings, and promise to keep a better attitude no matter how cold my apartment gets, how little I get to actually use my water, how much I miss Western food... ok I'm going to stop now. Anyway thank you to those who've been encouraging me. Your notes and prayers keep me going! Love you all and I'll keep you posted!

I stationed myself at the snowflake making table. My students took pity on me and hung out with me for a while since it was one of the less popular craft tables. I just couldn't compete with the cupcake decorating.
