During our recent trip to Bratislava, Slovakia to get our long term visas put into our passports (Hurrah!), I carried MY camera. There were scenes I wanted to bring back to share with you blog readers that weren't in Bill's camera after our first trip there.
There are many nice statues in the Old Town section of this city and several of them are 'typical' scenes of the male of the species in his natural habitat. What habitat?
Well, there is the scene of a man at work in the usual way many of us have seen the men we know and love working.
There is a scene of a the true humility a man can show as he ambles down the street on his day off.
Then there is the occasional man who we can see practicing his way of earning a living.
Bill kindly posed for me alongside these typical gentlemen. Enjoy the photos please! Nancy
If you can't see all three photos on this page, please scroll down and enjoy the others.
We are retired librarians. Nancy worked for the Board of Education and Bill operated a one person engineering library for a communications company. Travel has been one of our passions our entire marriage.
Originally we thought this blog would report only on our trip to Prague. However, we have decided to add entries and photos previous trips. We hope you enjoy them.

Ironic? Kinda ironic that Bill is nonchalantly leaning (at his ease) against the "man at work" sign. So typical of Bill to be lazy and doing nothing...some people!
Of course, knowing Bill, the pose was intentionally ironic, eh?

Men at work and being jaunty
Were they nondescript fellows or famous? In Dublin recently we saw a sculpture of Oscar Wilde sitting on a bench.
