By our last morning in Pushkar, we realized we were residing more than traveling. I guess that is what happens when you spend 10 days in the same place. The owner of one of the cafes in the camel section of the fair called us by our first names, the residents near our campsite said hello to us each morning and each evening as we trekked back and forth to the fair and one person asked us directions and inquired if we lived in Pushkar.

We saw a lot of interesting scenes at the fair. These photos do not even come close to demonstrating them all.

As the fair begins to wind down, animal owners must obtain official documents from the fair stating how many animals they own. They must obtain these documents before they can leave the fair grounds.

We happened upon a small truck at the loading dock with two large camels already loaded in the back. The owner started to load a third large bull camel in the truck. I said it was an impossible task, but as you will see, Indian transporters proved me wrong.

Or maybe, three is a crowd! I don't know who was more surprised by the transporters putting 3 adult camels in this tiny truck, us or the camels.

These camel herders decided the brush I was using worked so much better than the two little tree limbs they were using to brush this camel.

I could not help but notice these two herders trying to brush the kinky, thick hair of this dark camel with two tree limbs. I had purchased a brush at the fair and decided to help them out.

Dad got a shave, with a straight-edge razor in a makeshift tent on the fair grounds. There was a camel tied within 5 feet of this barber shop.

This organization is a non-profit that benefits the camels of Rajasthan and their owners. This was one of our favorite groups at the fair--they used our English skills to promote their mission!

I laughed really loudly at the docking station pic! That's hilarious! Also, so not surprised to see Roy getting a shave in the middle of the desert. Safe travels!
