3 day weekend!

Another successful weekend here in Costa Rica... Friday after class we took the bus to the City of San Ramon to explore and do some shopping. After about 5 hours when we were ready to return to San Ramon, we had no idea where the bus station was. Thank goodness for this nice older man we asked, because he walked us to the bus station which we NEVER would have found ourselves. Another example of how nice people are here…

When we got home we all got ready to go out and headed to a club called night fever to celebrate Alysa’s 21^st birthday. I didn’t bring my ID, because I never get carded and of course this time I do… It took me 5 ID’s to finally get let it… He let me in with Ashley’s ID which doesn’t even look like me, she’s blonde… Pretty funny.

Nothing exciting happened Saturday; I did a lot of homework and went to a café with Jose, the only boy on our trip. I also skyped with Sam’s family. His niece is soo cute. She’s crawling, pulling herself up on things, and has two teeth now.

On Sunday a couple girls and I went to a café in town to work on our essays for Ecology. Here I skyped with Mom, Dad, and the Jailbird for the first time. Later, I also got to skype with Raemi Good to see all of you : )

3 day weekend! No school today! We woke up early and took the 7:30 AM bus to Puntarenas, a city about an hour away. When we got there, it was cloudy and not very warm. There was a cruise ship docked, so all the little outside markets with souvenirs were open. I bought myself a nice Costa Rica glass, to add to my collection. We laid on the beach until the water overtook all our stuff, soaking everything. After that happened we decided to get some lunch, and meet up with our other friends who took a later bus. Although there wasn’t really sun all day, I am fried and SO red. I am the only one who got burnt, too! How crazy.
