Today is still 9/11 and we are having a relaxing day today. This morning we took Barbara to a quilting store which she said she enjoyed. Most of us declined going in with her.

After that we went to the "Buffalo Bill Cody Museum" which was quite impressive and had a massive amount of western history and folk lore. The first part we went in was the Indian section which I found quite beautiful. There was so much of indian history and artwork to enjoy, and each thing told a story describing the history and making of the item. You can't imagine the magnificence of the bead and art work. I guess without shopping malls, novels and cinemas to pass the time, you have a lot more energy to put into your beading. I would seriously miss my soap opera though.

We then went into the Buffalo Bill wing, which displayed so many artifacts of the wild west and 'Buffalo' in particular. He was an amazing man and a true American Hero. Although I was well aware of Buffalo Bill and his fame, learning so many personal facts was truly interesting, I think perhaps I will read a book about him when I return home. Also, he was very close to Annie Oakley, who is my personal hero. I spent a great deal of my childhood being her and shooting everyone around me.

I did not have time to do both the guns and the arts section so I opted for the Art. I have always admired western art and sculpture so I enjoyed this room very much, especially the Remington scultures and also the Proctor artwork and sculpture. I was not aware of Proctor before this trip so I am also getting an education.

On the way back to the RV we stopped along main street to visit a few souvenier shops. It is the end of tourist season, so I got some good deals. Right now we are back at the campground for some R & R.

Our plans for this evening are to go to Irma's Hotel for dinner (Named after Buffalo Bill's daughter). Buffalo built this hotel for his daughter. Before dinner they are having a wild west shoot out in the street and we don't want to miss that . I will fill you all in on how that goes tomorrow. Have a good night.
