The men were happy to see her
Well, we are off!! We left Highland at approximately 8:00 last night The trip started off great as we all got in the motor home and did not forget anyone. At our age that can only be seen as a success. The past 24 hours has been the hardest leg of our journey. We drove 24 hours straight (except of course for a breakfast stop, several gas stops, lunch in a lovely rest area and you don't even want to hear about our seemingly endless trek through Minnesota looking for propane gas). Apparently it sounded more productive to search out a propane shop in the middle of our heartland than to just have the tank filled in good old Dutchess County.

At around 7:30 - 8:30 eastern time, we stopped for dinner and rented one hotel room. We decided it would be wise for us each to take turns spending the night on solid ground. Tonight is the Stengel's turn. That leaves us and the Slakopers in that well known camping ground "Walmart" parking lot. It will be fine as we are all very tired since no one has really slept in the past 24 hours other than that well know napping experience where your head bobs around a lot and you tell out "No, I'm awake!"

We have not seen any 'sights' yet unless you want to count the hormel factory and a real Chrysler plant as we drove by them at __ miles per hour.

We have not engaged in any real disagreements thus far, unless you want to count us all making fun of Phil for not filling the propane tank. But that was all in good fun even though I think I saw a tear in the corner of his eye.

I must say good night to all at this time as I am really tired and of course need to get in some reading time before sleep. Tomorrow is Deadwood where we plan on spending the night. A little gaming and some good old western fun..... and the boys want to see those dancing girls who live above the saloon. Have a good night all
