The Tube is amazing as we have used it quite a bit to get around London. This has been very easy to use, it is clean and people have been very friendly. The London residents as well as all of the Brits have been tremendous hosts, all very helpful and pleasant especiallywhen they are cheering on their own !
The pool has been easy to get into with a ticket of course, which another story, as it is very difficult to find tickets to events that you would like to attend,thethere're is quite a bit of disappointment that there seems to be a lot of empty seats at many Venus where they say the VIPs are not using their tickets. We spent the morning trying to buy other event tickets with no such luck.
The pool is a beautiful architectural structure, but the architect was not a spectator ! There is a ship like/whalelike ceiling that drops really low so much so that where the awards platform is located cannot be seen from the upper rows closer to the same end. Also if the event was diving, the sight lines are too far away and the upper seats cannot see the upper platforms. There is a huge screen at the far end of the pool that cannot be seen from that far end and the results are shown to the upper rows on 2 screens at extreme ends of the seating and some rows cannot see either screen ...
Have I said that Jeff is a tremendously (suuuper coooool and suuuper amazing) guide of London. I am truly blessed with such a good friend and guide...

Thanks for the update. It is sad accomodations are not readily available. Announced on TV also that seats are not being filled and many people are trying to get access to the games. The pictures on TV have been very good, especially the diving. Done in tandem and quite spectacular! So good to hear from you and am so glad you are enjoying your trip. Love, mom
