What a big day we have ahead. Today we left our hotel in ("Da Hood") downtown Finchbury park at around 730 via taxi, and left the Ghetto for Euston, where our tour departed. Our tour (COSMOS - Best of Europe) left Euston around 830am for the banks of Dover to depart the UK via ferry to Calais.

We arrived in Dover around 1030am, and left our bus transfer for the Ferry. Run by P&O, the service shuttles over 61,549 passengers, 10,000 cars, 950 trucks and Transporters per day. There is around 6 ferries that run between Dover & Calais on a daily basis, and the Journey lasts around 1 hour 30 minutes. Aboard the Ferry, we had lunch and took advantage of some great photo opportunities, looking back on the whitecliffs of Dover, Great sailing Yachts on the English Channel and the landscape of Calais in the near distance.

We arrived in Calais around 230pm and had our last "Free Pee Stop". In Europe you have to "pay per pee", as public toilets are all outsourced to private enterprises. Not a bad francise idead! I'm sure we could all come up with some great names!! "McPeePee", "Stop N Wee", I will keep a daily telly of what money Is spent on the "Big Jobs".. Out tour guide stated that a man on the last tour tallied up that he had spent ¬52.00. Average cost for a session is around ¬0.30 - ¬0.50.

We left Calais (france), however only for a short time, as we will be coming back via france on our way home. We hit the border of Belgium soon after departing. Calais, and travelled through the outskirts of a Belgium town called Flanders, famous for the "Tour of Flanders" cycling race. Alongside the very straight and flat road, We saw many many nice black and brown cows. It amazed me how flat the landscape is, and how many cyclists were around the roads. As we are staying in Amsterdam tonight we only had a short stop for dinner in belgium for dinner, before we were on the road again towards our hotel in Amsterdam.

We arrived at our Hotel at 800pm, and were plesantly supprised by how nice the hotel was. We look forward to tomorrows sightseeing trip to the City Centre, and see some of the sights.

For those following the Tour De France - Sergiy Honchar was todays stage winner of the Tour De France, he is the only rider to finish the 52km course at over 50km/h. Man that is fast!! (My PB is around 32Kms).This was the Ukranian T-Mobile riders first stage of the Tour de France. Let's hope the Aussie Boys keep up with the good work... Still Early Days.
