And the money kept rolling in. . . and out.

The view is great from up here!
I am back in Marietta, staying with my parents for the next 10 days until I leave.

Only 10 more days!

My concert was a huge success!!! Everyone says they enjoyed themselves immensely, and we raised. . . (drumroll) 800 bones! Thank you so much to everyone who attended and to everyone who helped make the night flow smoothly.

AND yesterday I finally got my US tax return for. . . 750 bones! Wooo! It pays to think you're still a dependant and take out extra taxes all year and then find out you are not! I have a GA tax return coming soon for around 200 USD sometime soon!

And then there are the expenses. They certainly keep piling up. These past few days I have bought:

*Train tickets in Italy;
*a flight to Frankfurt;
*hotels in Milan and Ravenna, Italy, Frankfurt, Germany, and Shannon, Ireland;
*tickets to 'Ur Hamlet';
*and a backpack- yay!

Park and I are atill trying to figure out the phone thing. My phone will work overseas, at 99 cents a minute worldwide, and text messages for 35 cents. So, I think I'm going to take my phone for emergencies and texting, and buy calling cards for pay phones. People did travel in europe before the cell phone days, you know. Amazing!

Park leaves tomorrow for Italy. :0( He'll have a 5 hour layover in Newark, during which we'll talk for approximately 4 hours and 59 minutes. This is going to be tough! But it'll be all the more wonderful when I see him in Ravenna! I'll run across the piazza yelling 'mi amore!!!'. Lovely.

I am busily learning Italian and German. No luck finding a good Polish guide yet, but I'm sure I'll pick it up. I'll have to!

Ciao, for now.

Lovely Rita
HAHA, OMG! I just realized i've been totally reading your blogs backwards...i have no idea why my brain didn't realize that the first one was the most recent - like I knew it was b/c why would you be in Italy before Ireland? But "no," my brain still refused to accept it. It's kinda like when we met Katie E. and she was like, "Im a Meteorologist for Delta" and I was like, "OMG, do you absolutely LOVE the Beatles' song 'Lovely Rita then?" ((silence)) ((more silence)) ((a look from you)) (did you just say...?)) (what? no, shut up, shhhhhh))
